Pol Tarres sets new record as the first rider to finish the challenging Red Bull Romaniacs Hard Enduro race on an adventure motorcycle

Red Bull Romaniacs is famous for its vertical climbs and gradients in the mountains and pushing the riders to the limit. To make the event more difficult, a time penalty will be incurred if the rider requests assistance, adding even more pressure to the challenging race. The Romaniacs race is set over five days and circa 600 kilometers of the world’s most rugged enduro trails in the Southern Carpathian mountains.

Pol Tarres entered the race on a Yamaha Tenere 700 and has set history by becoming the first rider in the Bronze category to finish on an adventure motorcycle. Pol Tarres who finished the race P18 overall, certainly has a reason to celebrate, as organisers of the event had previously said the Bronze category is ‘not possible’ for adventure bikes due to the heavy weight and size of the machines making it more challenging over the duration of the competition.
