Cardo Systems enjoy positive feedback at Monster Energy Cup debut
Following the debut of Cardo Systems’ cutting-edge technology at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas in October, the global market leader in wireless communication systems for motorcyclists, has confirmed its intention to expand its participation in the off-road market from 2020.
Already utilised by a number of teams and riders for training, the 2019 Monster Energy Cup was Cardo Systems’ first high-profile off-road public appearance, showcasing the technology to the teams and riders at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, USA.
Dan Emodi, VP of Marketing at Cardo Systems, commented, “We were thrilled and delighted by the incredibly positive feedback received from the teams and riders in Las Vegas. While Supercross is a technology-driven sport, communication between rider and pit simply has not existed. We’ve had complete belief that our technology can aid off-road sport and so to receive such positive feedback from riders, as well as legends such as Ricky Carmichel, is incredibly gratifying and gives us a fantastic platform for Cardo off-road in 2020 and beyond.”
Utilising the brand’s PACKTALK Bold System, several high-profile riders and teams tested the feature-rich communication system, in Las Vegas, enabling riders to stay in contact with their pit at all times, while also connecting with their spotters, trackside too, thanks to the MESH and Bluetooth technology included.
Talking on camera during the Monster Energy Cup, seven times outdoor and five times AMA Supercross Champion, Ricky Carmichael, said, “I think it’s a fantastic advantage to have a Cardo System so you can get feedback from your mechanic or spotter. From a safety standpoint they can let you know if another rider is down so you can get to the inside or outside of the track, not to mention communication of what the competition are doing too. I think this is going to be the future at some point, hopefully next year”.
Benny Bloss was one of the 11 riders who tested the unit extensively in Las Vegas, the KTM rider added, “I’ve been absolutely amazed by how well it works. It was really good at giving instant feedback and really productive for us”.
As well as proving the technology in the Supercross arena, Cardo Systems continues to prove its effectiveness in other off-road disciplines including enduro, trials and trail riding. With the entire Cardo Systems range IP67 Waterproof, with easy to use controls and unrivaled audio quality, off-road riders have never had an easier way to stay connected.
